THE PRIME TIME OF YOUR LIFE

Howdy folks! I've done some more sanding and bondo-ing to the helmet. So now I've gone and primed it with gloss black to see any imperfections left. And of course when the gloss enamel paint hits the surface, all of the nooks, crooks and chips came out like rats after rain.. here's some pics to show you just what I meant..

It's not 100 percent yet, but it's getting close, man...I'm getting the shivers..Well, that's all for now..Have a blessed life peeps!

HUMAN AFTER ALL

My hands are about to fall off...All those sanding during the weekend really gave me a total workout. It looked easier in the tutorials don't it? But the fact remains, sanding bondo is a pain in the ass. But, after everything is said and done, it was worth it. This is my third layer of bondo, and it never looked better. Just a coupla bit more and it will be ready for vacuform!

Second layer of bondo and sanding..
You can still see the jagged edges..

Third layer of bondo and sanding..
The visor area is much more refined..

Well, that's all for now. We still have a long way to go, but I'm happy to say, the work is getting along mighty fine...

HARDER, BETTER, FASTER, STRONGER

It's a bit late to wish my muslim brothers and sisters Ramadhan Mubarrak, but here's an early Eid Mubarrak! Here's some updates on the Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo Helmet.

Brushed the whole thing with resin (2 coats to be exact)...

Cut out pieces of fibreglass cloth...

..and applied them to the underside of the helmet, then applied more resin...

When the helmet became really hard, I applied the 2 part bondo or car cement onto the helmet. Started with the visor section...

Still a long way to go...Stay tuned for more WIPs soon...
Cheers!!

TECHNOLOGIC

I've finished pepping the base helmet! Aproximately 7 hours 30 minutes, this is by far the easiest pep build I've done so far, but the work is far from over. I still have to resin, bondo, sand, bondo again, sand again this thing..But for the time being, this is good enough, I think so.

That's all for now..Tune in for more progress soon!
