AFTER A LONG BREAK

I'm so sorry peeps..I took an overtime for my hibernation from my work. Just got back from Japan, the land of everything nice and naughty. My darling mini-me just turned 6 months (which explains my long absence). I'm just prepping up my workshop to start again. It has been a really good year so far, and I hope I'll end it better... I have a planet of great projects lined up to be executed, and I hope I can share them with you in the near future. Stay tuned!!

The date was 20th February 2010. I bought a Bandai Mastergrade Gundam 00 GN-X model kit. And 9 month later.....

DAWN OF A NEW AGE...

The Gn-X is complete! Finished airbrushing the lil' fucker last night at 2 a.m. Woke up this morning and snapped some pics. Not so good as I was still groggy and had to rush up for work.

Time for updates! I managed to work on the GN-X unit for the "New Model" Gundam 00 diorama. Altered the color scheme a bit. Didn't really want to follow the original color scheme. I've also added decals to the body, head and legs. All in all, not such a bad weekend after all! Here's some update pics...

WHEN THE DUST SETTLES IN

Hey guys..It's been a while. I had soooo many things to sort out after my Mum's death, couldn't find the time to update the blog. Had to reshuffle my life again. Bla bla bla..I could type a whole fucking book on what happened after she died but that would probably bore you to death. So, I'll just skip forward to some of the things I continued after the ordeal. 

One of 'em was the Gundam 00 diorama, "New Model".  Did I mentioned that I changed the diorama title? Sorry, I forgot. My short-to-mid term memory is really bad. Anyway, here's some updates..

First off, the diorama base..

The mound was made with polystyrene board pasted onto a chipboard base.

I used diluted white glue and real sand and stones.

When the glue has dried and the sand+stones are set, I started to paint the textures of the ground using a mixture of burnt umber, mahogany & some khaki green.

Static grass applied.

Voila!

"RETURN TO THE SCENE" DIORAMA W.I.P

Ok. I shoulda used the title before. The Tieren is for a Gundam 00 diorama as per the title above. The premise for the diorama is as follows; "The Human Reform League (HRL) was in constant battle with neighboring countries for decades. Using their mobile armor, the Tieren Ground Type, they managed to win some war and then lose some war..bla..bla..bla.. Then the Celestial Beings came with their Gundam Exia and the gang and managed to fuck them up real good. That was then...

Thanks to a traitor of the Celestial Being (can't remember his name), HRL managed to develop their own GN Drive (the thingie that powers up the Gundams) and created GN-X to overcome the Celestial Beings. And so the story goes..." 

"Return to the Scene" is about a GN-X unit that stumbles upon a 'carcass' of a fallen Tieren during their fight with Gundam Exia. It's not even in the anime but I'd like to think of it as a homage to 2 of the coolest mecha design in Gundam 00 that seemed to be overlooked.

So anyway, I've finished the Tieren last night (all except the hands and the weapons at least). Next stop would be the GN-X! Wooohooooooooooo!! Here's the pics..
