...NOW, WITH DANDRUFF CONTROL!

A little update on ol' Pussyface. Managed to steal some time to finish up the dreads and the basic color for the alien slime crust thingie.
Started off with some grey for the base of the dreads.

Added some blacke to highlight the hair(couldn't really see the difference in the pics. I'll snap better pics tomorrow). I wanted the dreads to look more natural, so the blacks are airbrushed in blotched patterns. Seems to look allright for the time being.

The alien resin thingie's next. Base color using Apple Green (all the colors I'm using for this plaque are the standard aerosol cans)

Finally, the base color for the dread beads, using ivory. More updates soon!

OL' PUSSYFACE pt. SECOND

Here's some more close up pics. Did a little bit of wash and added veins around the mouth last night. Tried the glass eyes as well, and they looked super if you ask me..

OL' PUSSYFACE

Some time ago, I bought a life size Predator wall plaque from my good friend Jeff, from 3dWizart. Yesterday, I got bored, so I decided to continue what I've stopped.

Started off by painting the whole thing with a flat black undercoat.

Then, some Ivory for the skin.

Later, Mahogany for the darker tones.
And some Vermilion Red for the fleshy parts.

That's all for now. Still has a long way to go, I might even do an Albino Pred. Who knows.

MASTER OF THE WIND

This is a tribute to the best vehicle in the Star Wars universe, the Speeder Bike. I bought a 1/6 scale Speeder Bike from Hasbro a year ago. I wanted to repaint it but I never found the time to do it, up until now.

BEFORE
DECONSTRUCTING PROCESS
I got lazy (again) and failed to shoot the re-paint process..sorry..hehehehe

AFTER
The Scout Trooper's paintwork is still wet. So here's a temp to fill his place for the time being.

A YEAR CLOSER

To those who follow the roman calendar, happy new year guys (and girls). I had a busy year end, trying to submit a Building Submission for a 30 units Semi-D housing scheme in Puchong. The Malaysian team won the Suzuki Cup, and thanks to that, I had to rush out to complete the submission, and succeeded in glory..For that, I can take a deep breath this week.

Let me start the calendar with a toy review. It's not a new toy, but I just bought it. For reasons unknown, I felt compelled to just go out and but this sucker yesterday. It's a Jin-Roh 12" figure. In case some of you are wondering WTF is Jin-Roh, well, Jin-Roh is a 1999 Japanese animated feature film directed by Hiroyuki Okiura. The film is the third adaptation of Mamoru Oshii's Kerberos saga manga, Ken-Roh Densetsu, after The Red Spectacles released in 1987 and StrayDog: Kerberos Panzer Cops released in 1991 in Japanese theaters.(taken from wikipedia) You can read more about it in Wikipedia if you are interested.

There are a few toy companies that produce 12" figures, and they come in a few designs. The one I bought was from Dragon, based on the movie, not the anime. Well, here's what I think of it...

The packaging
Well, it's not that great, but it holds it's purpose. The cardboard box has a window opening to show what's inside. Not much effort was put for the graphics, but then again, it's from Dragon.

Sculpt and Paintwork
Firstly, let me remind you, it's not a bloody Hot Toys. But for me, the sculpting is good. Don't really like the face, but then again, I won't be displaying it WITHOUT the mask anyways, so, fuck it. The guns are superbly crafted, and so is the armor. The helmet and bullets are real metal, these alone can give you a hard on for a couple of hours. And get this, the bullets are individual! You can take each one out! Beat that shit out, Hot Toys! The rest are plastic. Ok, I'm not much of a 12" or 1/6 scale model collector, but so far, this seems like a good buy to me. In terms of paintwork, since it's mostly matt black, it's clean and crisp. I'm cool in that department.
 Articulation
Well, enough of the good things. The shitty thing about this figure is the joints. Sure, it's fuckin' articulated, but what good is that if the bloody thing can't hold himself. It's like a fucking limp dick. 'nuff said. But the good thing a bout a 12" is, you can change the body...but you gotta buy a new one. Oh well, can't win 'em all.

All in all, it's still a good buy, considering the price.

That's that for my so called "review"...my eyes are sleepy..
