SWEET HOME WANGSAMAJU

I gotta halt the progress for the Thomas Helmet for a while. My dwelling is being renovated. By right, this post should be in "Native Tongue DesignLab", but I feel that this particular project deserves a more personal touch. After all, this is the place I'll be spending most of my life in. Due to financial constraints, I'm gonna divide the "SELF-RESIDENCE" project into 2 Phase;
a) Main Living Area Phase
b) Supporting Area Phase

The Main Living Area consists of renovation for the Kitchen, Master bedroom and the Master bath. These are the more important areas that I need to cover first.
The Supporting Area will be the upper balcony, the loft, the guest bath and the upper level store/workspace.

Let's start with the kitchen...

The actual progress on site has started last Friday. I'll post the progress pics later tonight.

THE PRIME TIME OF YOUR LIFE

Howdy folks! I've done some more sanding and bondo-ing to the helmet. So now I've gone and primed it with gloss black to see any imperfections left. And of course when the gloss enamel paint hits the surface, all of the nooks, crooks and chips came out like rats after rain.. here's some pics to show you just what I meant..

It's not 100 percent yet, but it's getting close, man...I'm getting the shivers..Well, that's all for now..Have a blessed life peeps!

HUMAN AFTER ALL

My hands are about to fall off...All those sanding during the weekend really gave me a total workout. It looked easier in the tutorials don't it? But the fact remains, sanding bondo is a pain in the ass. But, after everything is said and done, it was worth it. This is my third layer of bondo, and it never looked better. Just a coupla bit more and it will be ready for vacuform!

Second layer of bondo and sanding..
You can still see the jagged edges..

Third layer of bondo and sanding..
The visor area is much more refined..

Well, that's all for now. We still have a long way to go, but I'm happy to say, the work is getting along mighty fine...
