SILENT BEHEMOTH
I nearly forgot about the AT-AT comission. Right after MITF 2011, I've packed the monster inside the box, waiting for the client to bank in the payment. After a while, I forgot about the damn thing completely. Last week, my client called me saying that he's banked in the money, and I started to remember that I haven't posted the completed work here..So, without further ado, here it is, in all it's glory, the Silent Behemoth....
From Hoth, with love..

PAPER MADNESS pt. iii
Finally managed to drag my lazy ass to Balakong and bought 2 cans of resin. Applied 3 layers to the pep Sauron, I even mixed aluminium powder to the resin batch, just to see the effect. But I didn't see much except that it turned silverish..Bah..
After the resin hardened, I applied a layer of paper clay to start shaping..
Still needs a lotta work though..That's all for now..

Alhamdulillah, I managed to finish folding and pasting the bloody thing at last! But it's still a long way to go. I still need to coat it with resin, then fibreglass it, bondo...bla bla bla...Here's some pics..
This is just a pre-assembly stage. The 2 smaller horns needs to be re-aligned. Still a long way to go fellas..

PAPER MADNESS
I'm starting a new project. I know, I've got other unfinished jobs in my hands now, and I don't need to start a new project. But, you see, the alien queen needs a new 0.15 nozzle, which I don't have right now, and the AT-ST diorama needs a base and a static grass applicator, both are not in my hands yet. And the GN-X diorama remake is well, in need of resin.
So....... I'm starting a new project.
This is a 1:1.5 scale Sauron Helm. It was supposed to be 1:1 scale, but I didn't realise that I needed to enlarge the damn thing before I start, and when I did realize, it was too late. So, 1:1.5 it is. I can't remember where I got the pep file, for I obtained it for some time now.
Started out by printing the pep file on to 200gm coated paper. Took 30 pieces to form the whole Helm. Started cutting and gluing Friday night. Here's what I got by the end of Friday..
Continued cutting and folding and pasting all throughout Saturday. And here's the result...
Starting to take shape now..And by the time the weekend is over, this is what I got....
Still a long way to go. I thought I could finish it over the weekend, but I guess I was wrong. The bastard's a bit too tough.

GOING ORGANIC
While waiting for my new static grass applicator (modified graciously by Rangsangmas hobbyshop) to be completed, I felt like taking some time off from making models of vehicles and robots. I'm re-visiting my old obsession, painting aliens. This is a very old project that was halted for quite some time. I never had the interest to continue it due to unforeseen reasons. I guess this is the perfect time to complete it.
The old paint layers are pretty fucked. So, I start by re-applying white primer over it. By the way, this is the now defunct Halcyon Alien Queen Chestburster scale 1:1. The description on the box says that it's vinyl, but it feels more like rubber to me. Anyway, here's some innitial pics to start things off...
